I don’t have perfect nails and am not really into manicures. But I do love nail polish and somehow have a disgustingly large collection.
In my Ipsy September Glambag, I received a nail polish by Pretty Woman NYC in color “Girl Boss.” The color looked interesting – a grayish purple. So I clipped and filed my ragged nails and put it on. And it went on SOOOO easily! I was mesmerized by how easy it was to apply. So even. No bubbles or bumps. Just smooth, thick, rich, shiny color. Wow.
I’m in love with this shade and this brand of polish. I had never heard of Pretty Woman NYC until my September Ipsy bag. But this is not the last polish from them I will be buying. Their website says it is sold at Walmart among other places and they are quite cheap – $7.99. You can see what other lovely polish colors they offer here!
OMG – this is an AMAZING deal. The Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette for only $27??? Insane. I already own this palette and can attest to the fact that it is AMAZING. If you don’t have it, get it. You will look smoldering hot with these awesome shadows. The packaging is gorgeous too.
You can order yours today here!
I picked up this sweet little set of mini lipsticks by Urban Decay at the Sephora Holiday Preview Event yesterday. This is a great selection of five lipstick colors (pictured below) and will be great for my every mood. They are smaller sized than the regular Vice lipsticks. It’s really a cute little set.
1993 is my fav, actually, because it takes me back to high school days. Back then, we coveted MAC lipsticks and Twig was THE shade with an obvious lip liner around it. And when it wasn’t Twig, it was frosty pinky purples like B-Cup and Pervette (also by MAC). Oh yeah, and of course a MAC eyeshadow in a tacky blue – Tilt was the one – metallic AF.
Okay, I just dated myself. Totally. This makes me think of a convo I heard in a Sephora not too long ago where a prospective employee was being interviewed. They were quizzing her on the history of Urban Decay and were like ‘do you know how UD started?’ She was like ‘…that is before my time…’ I knew… nail polish. I didn’t say though, since I didn’t feel like ruining the vibe of her interview. I was such a Urban Decay fan. When they branched out into eye shadows and lipsticks, I snapped up as many as I could. That Vice re-release of retro shades – I had all of them… And those individual eye shadow pans – I loved it. Those wild colors… And as much Hard Candy as I could afford for my nails. We all wore those ugly plastic jelly rings from HC polishes. OKAY! I have to stop. Too much 90s flashback.
Have a Happy Sunday!
I was so excited to receive the Sephora Give Me Some Nude Lip Set – mostly because I was looking forward to finally getting an appropriate lip liner. But the set was MISSING the lip liner!!! I called Sephora Customer Service and they were such dolls, helping me out. They are sending me the lip liner separately. I didn’t use any of the items yet, since I thought I’d have to send back my set, but they were kind enough to trust me. That is great service. Highly recommend Sephora!!!
I am only posting part of my Nails Inc. haul because I got so much stuff from them it’s embarrassing… In the above pic, from left to right – ‘Uptown,’ ‘Primrose Street,’ ‘Chelsea Square,’ and ‘Next to Nothing.’
Okay, I’ll tell you what else I got – some minis in a set with the Rosé all Day water bottle, the detox nail treatment, cuticle oil, and their amazing Nail Kale Basecoat.
I’ve started the detox treatment already and after one night, my nails are starting to heal!!!
So back to the above photo – they are all pinks and I have to say that ‘Primrose Street’ is my favorite. It is a sheer and iridescent coating that can be used on nails alone to make them subtly amazing, or layered on top of any shade to transform it into something special and unicorn-like.
I would do a demo but my nail shape is so ugly right now. I really need a manicure. I’m bringing my own colors to the salon and it’s all Nails Inc.
When I saw the HSI brush on sale on their website, I knew it was time to give it a try. Everyone is raving about this brush-flat-iron hybrid. When you sign up for emails on their site, you get ANOTHER 30% off!!! You can buy this tool here.
Once it arrives and I give it a try, I’ll be sure to write about it!
The countdown to MIDNIGHT – when The Palette of the Year – Too Faced’s Sweet Peach – was re-released to the world!
Then… I was in the ‘Queue-it’ line for 3 hours and 40 minutes…
But, I set my alarm, and had a nap until my warning email, when I logged into the line again and made my purchase!
The Too Faced website was S-L-O-W and there was a moment when I thought it would crash – but it held up and I was able to order the palette. Since I was there, I got some of the other items from the collection too. Couldn’t resist!
I dropped a lot of $ already today, and Sugarpill’s Pumpkin Spice is coming out later today. I am HURTING! I don’t want to look at my bank statement this month…
Too Faced Chocolate Chip mini palette – beautiful, cocoa-scented matte shadows!
I ordered this on Black Friday from the Too Faced website and it arrived today. I *love* this!!! It is small and the perfect size for traveling. The mirror on the inside is also huge. This is amazing because this is exactly what you need when traveling.
The colors in the palette are as pictured above – beautiful, rich matte shades with Too Faced’s signature pigmentation and staying power. Too Faced makes the best matte shadows. I wear Too Faced shadows every single day!
This palette will be released again soon from the Too Faced’s website here. Keep an eye out for it – you don’t want to miss this gem!
